Typepad Favorites

Continuing on in the greatest hits trips down memory lane…here are some of my personal favorite posts of mine from the Typepad era.  Now, I canceled my Typepad account so the blog at that address is no more, but I imported all the posts here when I started WordPress, so you’ll just have to trust me when I say they used to be on Typepad.

And away we go…

Just a Little Thought - A pleasant and happy little moment from the past.

Cell Phones Should Be Taken Out and Shot - One of my better law school rants.

My New Hero - About my favorite bus driver ever.  He rocked.

A NYC Grocery Store First - This post used to garner me a fair amount of traffic, not just because of the post but because of the discussion of Bama jelly that goes on in the comments.  It’s a tale of cultures clashing, when a southern girl meets a yankee supermarket.

Get Your Free Speech Right Here! - This is labeled as a rant, but it’s really not.  It’s my thoughts on free speech, as the title suggests, against the backdrop of that whole Ward Churchill mess.

The Next Obscenity War? - Only one of my favorites because of the first line of the post.  I can be really clever sometimes.

Another Striking Blow for Diversity - A little righteous indignation goes a long way.

Yes, I Watch Too Much Television - Pondering one of life’s greatest mysteries.

The Week from Hell - I still remember this as one of the lowest points of my life to date.  Though the state I’m in now certainly rivals it.

Bar Review Update - The first of many posts on what was the joy of the bar review course at Town Hall.  The first mention of the pregnant lady in my class appears here.  I still think about her, amazed, as always, that she could study for and take the bar exam when it looked like she was going to pop at any moment.

The Wedding - I didn’t lose a sister.  I gained a brother.

Happy Birthday to Me! - I used to blog every year on my birthday. I suppose subconsciously I wanted to get more attention and well-wishes.  This one is bittersweet, because it was around this time that I started to look optimistically toward the future, particularly on the relationship front, and looking back things didn’t work out at all the way I’d wanted.  None of this is actually in the post, but I remember thinking about it.

What the World Sees - Me attempting to come to terms with my faith.  Reading over it again, it sounds a lot like I could have written it yesterday.

Thought for the Day - Not just for that day, but fore every day, when it comes to me.
